Belfast's Thompson Graving Dry Dock was the largest in the world at 850ft in length when constructed, and most famously housed the RMS Titanic for 3 weeks during which time the ship's hull was painted and she had her propellers fitted. It is substantially unchanged in the last 100 years and the dock's capstans can be seen clearly in many historic Titanic photographs.
